Molly’s Monday Machinations - International Rules and AFLPA wanting Free Agency
This week discuss the Internation rules after the first game and the AFL Players Association and their investigation into Free Agency.
I look at the International Rules, the great result by Australia and the argument that the All Australian Team should be used and that not doing so cheapens the Australian Jumper.
The Free agency is an interesting issue and one that I really can’t see getting up. I think there would be some unwanted side effects (extra trading, loss of loyalty and need for changes to other rules link the trading rules). Genreally I think it would be extremely unpopular with Fans. But listen in for my full thoughts.
