You can speculate (with pretend money, so it's just for bragging rights) on which club will next see a listed player in court answering criminal charges.
If you want to check it out and maybe lay a few bets on, read this introduction.
It takes about sixty seconds to set up a free account and start trading contracts with a seed amount of $1000.
I hope you can check it out and make some trades. Oh, and maybe give the idea a plug on your podcast?
Cheers,
-Greg.

Okay, I don't have the same feeling as you do but hey, what ever floats your boat!
I am some what interested in doing this, but the parameters (i.e. when a player goes to court) is a bit hard to work out.
Now you say I get a free account with $1000 to play with? If I earn another $5 out of bets (i.e. get $1005), can I use this play money to buy you out?
On mentioning it on the podcast, have a listen to the end of this weeks show, you may be interested!

The event we're punting on - "when a player goes to court" - is deemed to have occurred when a listed player (ie on the club's list at the time of the incident) has to answer criminal charges (ie is in the dock, not just as a witness or - God forbid - a juror) in an Australian court (ie Magistrates, County, Supreme, Federal Magistrates). No civil matters. No Family Court. No Tribunals. No Coroners Court. Criminal stuff.
What's hard to understand about that? Christ Almighty, it happens about fifteen times a year!
Yeah, I listened to the last bit of the podcast - I see Craig Hutchins got a shoutout ... where's mine? Oh wait - you're angling for sponsors ... yeah, that's not going to happen. I've checked your stats and sending you the ten cents would be eaten up in transaction fees. No one wins.
Mind you, with that slick ending and polished segue to the theme music(!?), I'm surprised you don't have more listeners!
Oh, and the initial $1000 is play money. The money to buy me out has to be real money. That's the difference. Still, at least the market lets people put their money (or, at the moment, reputation) where there mouth is ...

I also understand when your saying you will be considering the contracts (or how ever you want to phrase the payout trigger), what I am saying is that its very sugjective and to be honest, totally silly. But then again, each to their own.
On the buying you out, its not really really, is it. You never updated it and you can just add your own money when ever you want and make it look like someone donated to you. There isn't any real accountablitiy about it is there? Its not like you publish a list of people paying either way is it? Its just a bit of a gimick to try and get a few hits (which of all people, Darren Rowse the Problogger fell for it).
But good luck with this and anyone that is interested (!?) can check it out.
Molly
PS. And yeah I don't have many listeners but thats okay, its all for the fun and so far has fully paid for itself.
PS. PS. Can't you bet on this sort of stuff with BetFair? Don't you frame your own markets?
