With trade week set to start at 10:30 on Brisbane football manager Graeme Allan and Bulldogs’ recruiting manager Scott Clayton approached AFL officials at 10:14 to notify them of the trade. “We have agreed on a trade with Jason Akermanis to the Bulldogs - we’re still working out the finer details - there will be no player involved in the trade and that’s all we’re saying at the moment,” Allan announced directly after. “We can’t say yet because we’re still working out the finer details, so we don’t want to say anymore and we’ll come back to you later.
