Tails! Well take the Grand Final

Thats what Ten executive David White called Thursday when he won the coin toss to see which of the Footy partners would have the right to show 3 of the next 5 grand finals.
CHANNEL Ten yesterday won the toss to televise the 2007, 2009 and 2011 AFL grand finals, with that network’s sports chief, David White, later confirming that Ten and Seven would next year televise all eight free-to-air home-and-away games.

On top of this it was also confirmed that the two stations (7 & 10) would show all the games and Foxtel will show none. They couldn’t come to an agreement with Foxtel. It was believed that off the record Foxtel offered 50 million for 4 games, 7/10 counter offered asking for 55 million but nothing happened.
Personally I think this looks like good news as I have just got rid of Foxtel and so I will be able to watch all the games I want. Not sure if the Foxtel shutout is just for this year or if 7/10 have decided to go it alone the whole deal.
